Golfing
Kingsland has two 18-hole golf courses: Lighthouse Country Club and Golf Course and The Legends. Both year-round courses are open to the public, offering pro shops and driving ranges. There are several other area courses within a 30-minute drive from Kingsland.

Lake Country Lanes

Rodeos in the Hill Country
These family style events offer rugged rodeo action, calf scrambles, mutton bustin’ for the kids and, of course, some extra tough fellas who think it is fun to ride a bull. There will be some clowning around too.

Swimming Holes
The Kingsland Slab
A favorite playground for locals and visitors alike, the Llano River meanders through great rising slabs of granite. The rapids and pools attract thousands of swimmers and sunbathers each year. Take RR 1431 west through Kingsland then turn on FM 3404. Follow the road for a couple of miles until you reach the Llano River.
Krause Springs
The campground and swimming is open year round from 9 a.m. to dusk. This spring-fed swimming hole is tucked away in Spicewood on hwy. 71 then turn north on spur 191 at Hollingsworth's Corner. Keep heading north until you see the sign. Cal 830-693-4181 for

Robinson Park
Head over to Llano for the day and cool off in the Llano River at Robinson Park. Tale RR 152 West from the Llano Courthouse Square for two miles. For more information, call the city offices at 325-247-4158.
Devil’s Waterhole
This swimming spot is located at Inks Lake State Park. It is one of the state’s most popular swimming holes. It features areas for swimming and guided canoe tours. Call 512-793-2223. The park can be found on Park Road 4 six miles west of U.S. 281.
